Embodied Healing sessions utilize Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) as a pathway for you to come back home to yourself and reconnect with your body. TCTSY was created specifically for those overcoming trauma, but can be beneficial to anyone who wishes to embrace their embodiment; moving and breathing in the present moment with awareness & agency.
This Introductory Session lasts up to 60 minutes and is scheduled with Kate, a certified TCTSY Facilitator and Spiritual Director. The 1st portion of this session will hold space for any questions you have about TCTSY. It would also be helpful to know (in as long or short a story as you would like to share): what has led you to seek out Embodied Healing? When you feel ready, a mini Embodied Healing session will be offered, giving you a felt sense into the practice.
Introductory Sessions are offered to all who are new to The Atrium and curious about TCTSY. For answers to frequently asked questions, see below.
Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an evidence-based, adjunctive treatment for complex trauma and PTSD. The program has foundations in Trauma Theory, Attachment Theory, and Neuroscience, as well as the central components of the Hatha style of yoga: breath, movement, meditation.
