"Arise my darling, my beautiful one, and come away with me.'" Song of Songs 2: 10 WHAT'S SOUL CARE? Soul Care is offered as a sacred invitation for you to come away with God and tend to your beautiful soul. Here, space is held for you to show up uniquely human and beloved. Together, we’ll search for God’s fingerprints in your present, everyday life and journey home to your truest self. All are welcome. WHAT'S A SESSION LIKE? In soul care, space is held for you to come as you are and speak your heart. A short, contemplative prayer practice is offered at the beginning of the session as a way of inspiring a conversation about your present, everyday life. As your story unfolds, together we'll look for God’s fingerprints and journey toward rediscovering your truest self; pausing to possibly notice your thoughts, welcome your emotions, and listen to the wisdom of your body & the Holy Spirit within. Sessions are private & confidential. WHAT DOES A SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR DO? As your spiritual director, my role is to come alongside you on your unique and personal journey toward God and your truest self. I listen without judgment, I encourage without coaching and I ask curious questions without trying to fix. I simply hold space for you to show up human and beloved. The true director in this practice is the Holy Spirit whom I trust will guide you in a way that is more intimate and personal than I ever could. SOUL CARE vs. COUNSELING: Counseling or therapy is goal-oriented and fixated on healing a specific part of your past. It is usually also focused on your relationship with yourself and others and works to change the way you think or feel about a past experience. Soul care on the other hand is focused on your present life and the relationship between yourself and God. Soul Care is considered a spiritual practice, is not fixated on a specific “problem” or outcome, and is not intended as a replacement for therapy or counseling. While the two practices differ, they can and do support each other. Many of those who come to The Atrium are also in counseling or therapy. WHO'S IT FOR? The Atrium is a trauma-sensitive environment and its offerings are shaped by Jesus' teachings; all are welcome. RATES & PLANS: The drop in rate is $75 per session. Membership plans are also available in 3, 6 & 12 month bundles and includes access to the Member's Grove which offers monthly gatherings & seasonal retreats! Holding space, Kate
